Disinfect Keys, Jewelry, Eye-Glasses of Morgellons 10/6/19

There are those who believe Morgellons Disease is non contagious and non infectious and there are those who know that Morgellons Fibers are both contagious (How Contagious is Morgellons Disease) and that one can be reinfected from the organisms.

With respect to being reinfected, Denise has discovered a great way to disinfect jewelry, eye glasses, razors, phones, hair clips, and so on. She has lots of experience with organisms that infect roses, including mites. She writes,

Richard,
"Insect eggs are more vulnerable to gases rather than liquids because valves in eggshells have evolved to keep out water to prevent drowning. Also eggs float. However, eggs still need oxygen and the valves allowing oxygen in are less efficient at stopping a poisonous gas.

That is why moth balls and home fog bombs work so well on insects and eggs. Gases also get into smaller cracks than liquids and work quickly.

Moth Balls kill insects and eggs with a gas. Granted, dichlorobenzine is a toxic carcinogen to humans too and should be handled with gloves and a mask (or holding your breath) when using them.

I have found that putting a moth ball in a zip lock bag for 10 minutes is a fast way to disinfect eyeglasses, jewelry, phones and hair clips (all with small hinges and openings that ammonia sprays or electrostatic sprayers could not reach.) Note ammonia also kills eggs with a gas, but the liquid is messier on these items."

I thank Denise for sharing and contributing her experience. This makes a lot of sense to me. I've often found that when I sprayed my bedding and covered it or inverted my clothes and sprayed and then turned right side out ammonia seemed to work better than simply spraying it onto the floor or furniture.

Valves, in eggs? Very interesting. I learn something every day.

Not only the eggs, but the organisms themselves are more susceptible to the fumes. In fact, eventually I got to the point I'd spray the furniture and cover it to contain the fumes. Denise is right about moth balls being a carcinogen. I'd suggest using menthol crystals instead. In fact, we just added them to our store--four ounces for $14.95.

Another lady, Elle, has used them and suggests using a disposable plastic teaspoon to place the crystals in a small ceramic dish and place on a coffee cup warmer to fill room with menthol aroma--add other oils as desired. Even though I knew of their value for years, it was from her experience that I decided to add them to our on-line store. And they are a perfect fit for Denise's application to disinfect in a zip lock bag.
