In Middle Eastern tradition, this dish is called Plov. It was adapted by Russian cooking enthusiasts since 1800 and every family has their own variation of this dish.
I start by placing peeled garlic (half a cup) into large skillet, add a cup of water, and tablespoon of rice bran oil.
While I sauté garlic, I add frozen shrimp and frozen peas to the skillet, and mix them well together.
After 3-4 minutes, I add sliced zucchini (one cup) and sliced bell pepper (half). Then I add pieces of baked chicken, cooked rice and medium tomato, sliced. I mix all ingredients together, adding salt* and pepper to taste. This recipe is good to make if you have chicken leftovers and a bit of rice that you want to finish. |
