It's as Sweet as it Gets 12/29/2021

• Making a mistake by using the wrong sweetener can invalidate the King Diet and you won't get the diet to work, or if it's working, you'll lose a few days of progress. I happened upon this article, Artificial Sweeteners vs Stevia vs Monk Fruit published by Nutrition WatchDog. The following artificial sweeteners are discussed.

  • Saccharin (SweetN’Low)
  • Aspartame (NutraSweet)
  • Sucralose (Splenda)
  • Neotame (Newtame)
  • Acesulfame potassium (Ace-K, Sunett, Sweet One)
  • Erythritol used in Coco Cola.
All artificial sweeteners feed the skin parasites plus they are not at all healthy. They can cause skin rashes, destroy gut biome, nausea, diarrhea, dizziness and actually upset the blood sugar balance. Skin rashes? Really!!!

The article goes on to discuss the value of both stevia and monk fruit. Since I had never heard of monk fruit as a sweetener, I was interested.

Bottom line, both stevia and monk fruit are healthy alternatives to sugar and I know that stevia is totally OK with the King Diet, but I have no idea whether Monk Fruit is compatible with the King Diet or not.

Whichever you choose, it's important - super important that there be no other ingredients added such as sucrose, Erythritol, and so on.

In our store, we  have
